Orthodontics
in Berea, OH

Orthodontics are about more than just straightening your smile for cosmetic reasons. While a beautifully aligned grin can certainly boost your confidence, a straight smile is also a healthy one! When your teeth are properly aligned, it's easier to keep your grin clean, which minimizes your chances of developing bacteria buildup, decay, or gum disease. Orthodontics can make it easier to enjoy your favorite foods, reduce jaw pain, and can even improve your airway for easier breathing and more restful sleep.

Invisalign

Experience the convenience of Invisalign clear aligners if you desire a straighter smile without the inconvenience of metal braces. These virtually invisible aligners are easily removable, granting you the freedom to eat and drink as you please. As your treatment progresses, you'll receive new aligners every few weeks, resulting in the beautiful smile you've always wanted.

Clear Aligners

If you're hesitant to deal with the metal brackets and wires of traditional braces, but still want to address crooked or misaligned teeth, clear aligner therapy may be the solution for you. This innovative treatment method uses custom-made, transparent aligners that gradually shift your teeth into their proper position through gentle, consistent pressure. Unlike traditional braces, clear aligners are made from transparent thermoplastic materials, making them virtually invisible while worn. They're also removable, allowing you to enjoy your favorite foods and drinks without restriction. To find out if clear aligners are the right choice for you, schedule a consultation with our dental team today. Let us help you achieve the smile you've always wanted in a subtle and comfortable way.

Braces

Properly aligned teeth have more benefits than their aesthetics alone! While a beautifully straight smile will certainly boost your confidence, it will also make taking care of your oral health easier. Crooked teeth can create hard-to-clean areas that allow bacteria to thrive and cause decay. Misaligned teeth also contribute to a higher risk of premature wear, TMJ/TMD, and other conditions. Braces are a reliable, versatile way to improve your bite and straighten your smile. If you're interested in how braces could help you, get in touch with us today to schedule a consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Check out these frequently asked questions, or call us to speak with our team.

What should I do if an Invisalign button comes off?

Sometimes Invisalign buttons on teeth wear away or pop off. These can be replaced at your next regular appointment. We ask that you call the office in advance to let us know, so the dentist has adequate time to replace the missing buttons.

What if a color ring/donut is missing from my bracket?

Sometimes teeth do not have the color ring/donut on the bracket. Instead, string, wire, springs, or hooks may be in place and can be difficult to see. A missing color ring is not an emergency, but it may delay movement of a single tooth. If your appointment is more than a week away, please call the office to schedule an appointment.

What should I do if a bracket falls off?

Keep the bracket that has fallen off. If your appointment is more than a week away, please call the office to schedule an appointment.

What should I do if a wire is poking me?

First, check to see if the middle of the wire, either a black or red line, is centered between the two front teeth. If not, use tweezers or your fingers to move the line to between the two front teeth. Move the wire in the direction opposite of the side being poked. If both sides are poking, dry the area as best you can and apply wax. If your appointment is more than a week away and you have tried both steps above, please call the office to schedule an appointment.
